The Palmetto PC Club has been offered a unique opportunity to change our meeting location. ITT Technical School has extended an offer to the PPCC Board to host our meetings at no expense to the club starting January 2010. ITT believes our club would blend well with their curriculum and offer their students, families and friends an outlet for sharing and learning about technology that impacts our lives. There will be some obvious advantages and challenges should we make this move.
Advantages:
Access to state-of-the-art technology.
Meetings held in a comfortable, classroom environment.
Access to multiple classrooms for SIG meetings.
Ability to extend meeting times.
Opportunity to hold multiple meetings during the month including Saturdays.
Challenges:
Traffic – ITT is located off I-26 near Dutch Square.
Meeting start time may need to be set later to allow for travel, resulting in a later end time as well.
